- I am a musician/historian/lecturer from North Yorkshire. My interest in the books of Arthur Ransome go back to my childhood. I have contributed articles to 'Mixed Moss' (the journal of The Arthur Ransome Society) and am particularly interested in Ransome's time in Russia, as well as Ransome's relationship with the Lake District.
